My Top 5 Coffee Places

October 3, 2009

I’ve listed my top 5 frequent haunts for coffee in Perth below. A well-made coffee has a great crema (superfine microfoam), is not too hot, exudes a nice caramel colour, and of course, is made from a good bean. So here goes…

1. Ristretto Espresso

By far the best coffee you will find in Perth. Ristretto roast their own beans, which is a very good thing, given that most of the cafes in Perth are Fiori and 5 Senses dominated. It’s good to have a bit of variety in Perth. Emanuele is so passionate and knowledgeable and is very much into Single Origin coffees, and Jesper makes a perfect coffee every time.

    Glad you love the aeropress.

    • Thanks, it’s nice to see people checking this blog out! :)

  2. Great Top 5, completely agree.
Haven’t been to Boucla yet, but now I’ll have to!

  3. Risretto is by far my favourite!
    Rosso is quite good too.

    • It’s really good and I hope a lot more people get to try their coffee. One of my mates does IT for the owner and I have been meaning to go there for some time now. Cheers.

  4. Ristretto is by far my favourite. Also enjoy their roasted beans on my machine at home.

  5. Ristretto is my favourite as well.
They really care about coffee, and as you walk away…the only problem is…one is never enough! :)

    • Yeah i find that too. I always have to get two coffees to be satisfied. Nice blog you have and I didn’t know you were a close friend of Jesper! Might see you at Ristretto sometime. Cheers.

  6. Ristretto rules. I have never been disappointed with a Ristretto coffee – no mean feat considering I drink soy milk, which can go all bad in the wrong hands.
